Post Learning Journey Reflection: 3M (Part 1)

I have basically broken up my Post-Learning Journey Reflection into 3 parts. Each part dealing with different aspects of my reflection. This first one will talk about my general feelings as well as takeaways, the second one will deal with interesting products from the company, and the last one will be about my response to some of the questions the company employees were discussing with us.

If there is one word to describe today’s event. “Eye-opening”. Yep that was what today was like.

Never before have I stepped into a manufacturing cum research plant (and I’m sure most haven’t) but the experience was priceless. Originally, one might dismiss the company as someone who makes Post-It and Scotch, but trust me. Today’s visit truly changes one perception completely.

Now, let me get back to my previous article which was the Pre-Journey Reflection for 3M. In that reflection, I basically touched on the company’s unique vision which is to create great products that help customers to succeed. I ended off that reflection with my curiosity piqued in terms of what kind of working culture is practiced in 3M that result in such innovation.

Post Learning Journey Reflection: 3M (Part 2)

In my previous article, it basically dealt with my general feelings and takeaways from my first industrial visit. In this article, Part 2, I would be talking about the products and the manufacturing of them.

Post Learning Journey Reflection: 3M (Part 3)

In my third and final part, I will be responding to the questions discussed by the engineers and plant managers from 3M.
